A week had passed since my last post. There were considerable changes in dynamics within the school. For starters, Japanese classes had started and i am enjoying the course. I used to be able to read to some extent katakana characters but after attending the first lecture and doing some hands-on practices myself, i am able to write the first 30 hiragana characters. Forensic sciences started to get really nasty. There were lots of chemistry and biology terms being thrown out and i have to listen very hard to catch what the professors are saying. Not a good sign. ...and i have pretty much accept the fact that mugging is not something i can avoid. If i want to succeed in what i am aiming for, i have to. There'll be lots of competitors, both from local and overseas, but i believe that if i try hard, i will be able to achieve a outstanding result comparable to those i have gotten way back in 2009. --- On a side note, i am getting very distracted during lectures of unknown re...
The best kind of thing happened to me today...allow me to walk you through. --- I only had an one hour lecture this morning. As usual i went to the venue earlier so that i can get a better seat. I was about half an hour early, so i washed up and just stood around, enjoying the air-conditioning around the entrance of the lecture theatre. Then there was this female who arrive roughly 5 minutes after me. She took a look at the theatre and just started talking to me. It happened out of nowhere suddenly that i was slightly stunned...partially because she was quite the looker too. We talked for a while before she suggested we go find a seat. I took the time and made introductions. It turns out that her situation is just like mine, being alone in the course without any friends. We talked about various stuff further, like our timetable similarities, staying in hall residence and some miscellaneous topics. We then moved into the theatre and sat together. It was really awesome to sit...
3 months of work had finally reached an end. Today is my first day attending school at the Nanyang Technological University. I am a little nervous but also a little excited about it. I find myself overwhelmed by the information we are required to know, as the lecturers and professors sends us emails and lecture slides to remind us of printing and reading beforehand. ...but it's not all bad. My timetable is something i should be happy for. With the exception of Mondays, the rest of the weeks are rather short and only had a few hours in it. Tuesdays and Thursdays only had an one hour lecture each. Of course, keep in mind that this is only semester one of year one, so i will expect the work load to increase in time to come. This is a good time for me to give in my all, in order to achieve what others can only hoped to.
