My last post was at 11 Dec...that means last week. Yet to me, felt like eons ago, simply because this week was so boring!

---

Monday, there's only me and one more person in the office. That's it, 2 out of 9 person in the office. Naturally it means any kind of tasks that comes by we had to do it whether or not we know how to or not. It's not like people really cared whether you can do it...they just want to know someone is on it.

Tuesday, most came back except for a few. Again, sat in the office for almost the whole day doing nothing but maybe playin' with my ipod.

Wednesday. At least that day it got a little more interesting. We went out to detention barracks to hand over some documentation. My sir and i was talking about how that girl we saw there looks really cute and all there. Heh.

Thursday. Just like Tuesday, except for the fact everyone is back. It really means that more chairs will be occupied and nothing else.

Friday, my day doing duty. Sat in the room for the whole day. It was really cool, 'cause there's supposed to be 2 parades going on. In the morning, it's a Change of Command Parade, where a company will show off their parading and driving and all that to honour the ceremony. The duty officer and i was talking and criticizing how they got into a wrong pacing and how their tanks drove out of angle, which made a few people dissed to high heaven.

Evening, the passing-out parade was cancelled due to heavy rain (Yeah, nice going there, Mr. Almighty). I guess that was too bad considering their parents coming to see them in action. Wet-weather programme was held in the auditorium. Had no idea what was inside since there's no cameras inside the auditorium.

Booked out on saturday morning. It was better than i had expected since i'm already the last guy to book out, there's no rush at all. Plus, the walk all the way to the bus stop outside actually was enjoyable when it's in the early morning. I felt some extent of relief and a weird, unexplainable but nice feeling.

Oh well, that's about all for the week.

P.S. I realised a lot of people playing Starcraft 2 in my camp! Started to play with a few of them. It's a very nice mechanic (Read: Excuse) to get to know more friends!

And, AND i've managed to pull off a 4 win-in-a-row yesterday! It's been really long since i did that so, very happy now!

Anyway, the year is about to end soon, so expect a year-end reflection/resolutions for next year soon. Probably 1 or 2 weeks later.

Been sometime since i played any song here, here's one of my favourite today.

Maroon 5 - Runaway

I have to say that the first time i listened, i stopped the player at the first 30 seconds, but after listening to it completely and knowing the lyrics, i'm mesmerized by it completely! Hope anyone who saw the video or heard the song likes it.

That's it for this post. Ta-ta for now!

Day 2...but i will be writing about yesterday instead. I set off early in the morning at 8am towards Tokyo station from my hotel. It was a good 20 minutes walk and with decent, cooling weather as well. I found out that opposite my building is a Konami building (although, later in the day when i return i would find that the building houses their Esports studio and school. I managed to get a Welcome Suica card at the Information Cafe of Tokyo station after a good 10 minutes of looking at the directory. The process of getting the card was simple as the staff was able to communicate in English. After i have gotten the pass, i started to look for Shinkansen ticketing machines. Because i was leaving in a short while, all of the reserved seats are already occupied and there was not much of a choice here. The plus of a non-reserved Shinkansen ticket is that you are free to board the non-reserved cabins anytime, as the ticket lasts for 4 days. I arrived at the platform to mad crowding. The...
Holy RA it's already near the end of April of 2025. Since the last post i've made a second booking to Japan, been there and returned. The visit this time was less of a rush but at the same time, i spent more time relaxing (idling) in the hotel. Originally i've planned annual visits in October of each year but i kind of felt like going again. So i made a booking towards the end of January. Unfortunately, the timing is not really good this time as the weather was pretty dark and gloomy throughout the trip. The Sun only showed up at the last 2 days of the trip. --- This time, i've visited Shizuoka again for its sushi. Same store. Same taste. I've also went to Enoshima and had "Enoshima Don", a seafood egg rice. I've mistaken "Yurantei" for the "Uomitei" that i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, the food is good. I'll visit someday again. Also, fulfilled my dream of taking the Sunrise Express, visiting Izumo and the famed Izumo Taisha (...
...with how tired i was in Japan daily, it was easy to leave out writing. For example, i'm already back in Singapore. Following the previous post, i made my way to Ueno Park, Senso-ji in Asakusa, Shikansen down to Shizuoka and visited Sunpu Castle, took a river cruise around Sumidagawa with Tokyo Cruise and ended a full day trip spending money in Akihabara buying old consoles. I'll think about whether i want to go into the details. The last actual day, Friday 18 Oct, was kind of a waste as i was "kicked out" of the hotel early and spent the day in the Airport instead. The storage was full so i couldn't leave my luggage in the airport and go somewhere else. I also can only check it in only 3 hours before the actual flight. It's a good trip overall, even with all the downtime. I am already looking forward to returning next year. I am also going to go for a Business class seat again next year.
