Ok, so you guys got in luck. I feel like posting now so this will be the last post instead. Last post until i book out of camp after who-knows how many week.

So, in less than 12 hours time i'd be sitting on a boat towards the off-shore island for my BMT (I don't think i need to spell out. If you don't know, read previous post). I'm quite nervous, new experiences, new faces, new rules. I don't think i would get into much trouble, but the thought of being unable to accomplish something that's required still scares me.

I have this weird mentality - I'm really scared when i leave my comfort zone and dive into something new. Very. Just for your information, since i stopped working in January, all i've been doing is house-keeping and maybe, occasional travelling for sales. Heck, the thought of been unable to watch another episode of at the 1pm time slot on Discovery Channel scares me really bad (Yes, i am THAT much of a fan).

...but what can we do about it? It's not gonna be my last time being commanded by someone of a higher authority into doing something i dislike, i'm sure i'll run into more of this command thingy in the future when i'm working. I really must say, that i view this "National Service" thing as a preparation for us to step into the real world, when your boss is gonna bark orders at you and you can only follow, or risk a termination.

Also, i'm not sure whether i said this before in here, but this may be the last 2 years (Give or take a few more months) to really enjoy gaming and going out with friends when i have the time. Once i'm in a university (If i can get in one), i'll probably be rushing full force on my studies.

I have failed my expectations once, and i will not have it that way again.

So yeah, the hard part of National Service is really, the BMT. After that, i should have more time on my hands to enjoy the things around me...with that, i'll actually add that i have tons of games left untouched for both my PSP and 360. But that's a story that won't start until June...looks like a long time, but time passes in the blink of the eye, and this is proven right now! 4 months ago i'm still thinking it's long, and now we're here, ready to take on the duty.

Oh yeah, just one more thing to add before i leave: Countdowns are pathetic. It feels weird to say that seeing how i do it more than others do, but seriously. I countdown to the start of my A levels, to the end of my working days, to the start of my National Service. It's completely a self-hypnotism to stress myself up. I know that but still subconsciously did it anyway. So, people who are reading this, don't do countdowns unless it's for something good.

With that...maybe i should end it with a music.

Devil May Cry 4 (Generic Nero Battle) - The Time Has Come

I really like this style of songs. While they are mostly from the Devil May Cry series, i liked all of them. Be it , , and so on. Enjoy!

One stanza from the song above

I'll let you know i'm the one to survive
You'll never break my fate or my stride
I'll have you choke on your own demise
I'll make the angel scream, and the devils cry

Day 2...but i will be writing about yesterday instead. I set off early in the morning at 8am towards Tokyo station from my hotel. It was a good 20 minutes walk and with decent, cooling weather as well. I found out that opposite my building is a Konami building (although, later in the day when i return i would find that the building houses their Esports studio and school. I managed to get a Welcome Suica card at the Information Cafe of Tokyo station after a good 10 minutes of looking at the directory. The process of getting the card was simple as the staff was able to communicate in English. After i have gotten the pass, i started to look for Shinkansen ticketing machines. Because i was leaving in a short while, all of the reserved seats are already occupied and there was not much of a choice here. The plus of a non-reserved Shinkansen ticket is that you are free to board the non-reserved cabins anytime, as the ticket lasts for 4 days. I arrived at the platform to mad crowding. The...
Holy RA it's already near the end of April of 2025. Since the last post i've made a second booking to Japan, been there and returned. The visit this time was less of a rush but at the same time, i spent more time relaxing (idling) in the hotel. Originally i've planned annual visits in October of each year but i kind of felt like going again. So i made a booking towards the end of January. Unfortunately, the timing is not really good this time as the weather was pretty dark and gloomy throughout the trip. The Sun only showed up at the last 2 days of the trip. --- This time, i've visited Shizuoka again for its sushi. Same store. Same taste. I've also went to Enoshima and had "Enoshima Don", a seafood egg rice. I've mistaken "Yurantei" for the "Uomitei" that i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, the food is good. I'll visit someday again. Also, fulfilled my dream of taking the Sunrise Express, visiting Izumo and the famed Izumo Taisha (...
...with how tired i was in Japan daily, it was easy to leave out writing. For example, i'm already back in Singapore. Following the previous post, i made my way to Ueno Park, Senso-ji in Asakusa, Shikansen down to Shizuoka and visited Sunpu Castle, took a river cruise around Sumidagawa with Tokyo Cruise and ended a full day trip spending money in Akihabara buying old consoles. I'll think about whether i want to go into the details. The last actual day, Friday 18 Oct, was kind of a waste as i was "kicked out" of the hotel early and spent the day in the Airport instead. The storage was full so i couldn't leave my luggage in the airport and go somewhere else. I also can only check it in only 3 hours before the actual flight. It's a good trip overall, even with all the downtime. I am already looking forward to returning next year. I am also going to go for a Business class seat again next year.
