Back for more entries. Talk about work first.

Alright, not new to those who i've already informed, but i've been working in a supermarket for the past 3 days already. To be honest, i don't feel like working on already. Because of my hand condition, the staff there told me not to get involved with products like detergent and washing agents (I'm working as a sales assistant, basically moving and arranging products). So i feel that i'm more a liability than a help, i have some doubts why they try so hard to keep part-time workers?

Also, i had a lot of "What the hell am i doing here?" moments.

---

School gave a call while i was away, but i already had the idea of what they want with me. Apparently they are giving Year 3 students a talk for physics, and they asked people from the previous batch, the batch i belonged, to return and give some tips to ours juniors.

So far, the joke is, that they asked me to call them, and yet there's no one picking the phone or returning any calls i made. They used 2 numbers to called me so far, but refer me to one of it, and when i called, there's no one picking the phone.

I just wished that they have some expectations of this happening.

By the way, "O" level results are being released today. Best of luck to card mate Kenneth!

I hope i have the same...or more luck when it's my turn.

Music treat!

Never More by Shoji Meguro (Persona 4 ending theme)
This is the live edition sung by Shihoko Hirata, in Persona Music Live in Akasaka Blitz:

Lyrics:
The streets are filled with
senselessly cruel words.
Never more, that voice was hushed
and washed away....

It's time to say goodbye to
this casual everyday life.
Our irreplaceable day
was lost somehow.
This drizzling fog hides the sun
and steals the light.
I was lost,
with nothing left to believe in, but...

(chorus)
I won't forget, most of all,
the days we all spent together.
Never more; no matter how dark it gets,
I know I'm not alone.
I'll find it, the most precious
thing I lost.
Never more, it's as if
I can hear your voice -- it's guiding me.

I used to believe, I'm sure,
when I was young,
but before I knew it I'd forgotten
those most important words.
I searched and sought
all through this restless world,
and at last I found them
in the depths of my heart.

If I keep riding this train,
I feel like we'll never meet again.
Never more; amid the confusion,
you called out to me, "hey!"
I'll believe in your smile
and the bonds between us.
Never more, no matter how far,
your heart will reach me.

For ever more,
in a corner of your memory,
I'll be there.
I'll believe in you and start walking.

(chorus x 2)

Day 2...but i will be writing about yesterday instead. I set off early in the morning at 8am towards Tokyo station from my hotel. It was a good 20 minutes walk and with decent, cooling weather as well. I found out that opposite my building is a Konami building (although, later in the day when i return i would find that the building houses their Esports studio and school. I managed to get a Welcome Suica card at the Information Cafe of Tokyo station after a good 10 minutes of looking at the directory. The process of getting the card was simple as the staff was able to communicate in English. After i have gotten the pass, i started to look for Shinkansen ticketing machines. Because i was leaving in a short while, all of the reserved seats are already occupied and there was not much of a choice here. The plus of a non-reserved Shinkansen ticket is that you are free to board the non-reserved cabins anytime, as the ticket lasts for 4 days. I arrived at the platform to mad crowding. The...
Holy RA it's already near the end of April of 2025. Since the last post i've made a second booking to Japan, been there and returned. The visit this time was less of a rush but at the same time, i spent more time relaxing (idling) in the hotel. Originally i've planned annual visits in October of each year but i kind of felt like going again. So i made a booking towards the end of January. Unfortunately, the timing is not really good this time as the weather was pretty dark and gloomy throughout the trip. The Sun only showed up at the last 2 days of the trip. --- This time, i've visited Shizuoka again for its sushi. Same store. Same taste. I've also went to Enoshima and had "Enoshima Don", a seafood egg rice. I've mistaken "Yurantei" for the "Uomitei" that i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, the food is good. I'll visit someday again. Also, fulfilled my dream of taking the Sunrise Express, visiting Izumo and the famed Izumo Taisha (...
...with how tired i was in Japan daily, it was easy to leave out writing. For example, i'm already back in Singapore. Following the previous post, i made my way to Ueno Park, Senso-ji in Asakusa, Shikansen down to Shizuoka and visited Sunpu Castle, took a river cruise around Sumidagawa with Tokyo Cruise and ended a full day trip spending money in Akihabara buying old consoles. I'll think about whether i want to go into the details. The last actual day, Friday 18 Oct, was kind of a waste as i was "kicked out" of the hotel early and spent the day in the Airport instead. The storage was full so i couldn't leave my luggage in the airport and go somewhere else. I also can only check it in only 3 hours before the actual flight. It's a good trip overall, even with all the downtime. I am already looking forward to returning next year. I am also going to go for a Business class seat again next year.
