Well, it's been a long week. We're at the last day of the first month of the new year (That's a mouthful). Starting off with...Wednesday, 27th January. I went to the ICA (I forgot what they meant) to collect my passport in the morning. Despite my belief, i am actually running late. At the end, i barely made it. Didn't need to wait for long before it's my turn. Screwed up on my signature a lot. The highlights of the day are the dozen flyer distributors standing outside the MRT station entrance. The thing is, once you take one, JUST one, the rest sees that and will all flock to you and dump one piece of paper on you. I ended up taking 9-11 more than i intend to take. The joke is on my return trip, they seemed to have the intention on giving me again for the second time. I actually had to hold the pile of paper from round one like some ward. ...this really is the highlight since my last post. --- I've been doing a lot of online trading recently, buying and selling ...
Time for another update, i guess. Starting from 18th of January. The day i went back to school. As said last time i am to return to Millennia Institute to give a motivational talk to the graduating students. Reached the school at around 740am, 5 minutes earlier than the allocated time. I kind of missed the bus trips to school, somewhat. Went to the general office to notify the school personnel, then went up to the second floor, outside the staff room. It appears there are others who had reached already. 2 girls, one from the 03 batch (Wow) and another from 05. Both of them are kind of professional, as in they seem to be in the teaching job already. It makes me feel kind of embarrassed. Why ask us, the newly graduated batch when they could have asked more professional graduates. Tong arrived shortly after, slightly alleviating my situation. We proceed to the lecture theatre and Hui Ying joined us. After Mr. T, the science departmental head gave an opening speech, we just started the Q ...
Another update! Major news: I have left my job. I'll be honest, i left because of my own personal mentality, not because of my physical condition or the environment. Having said that, it's not as though the environment that is really suitable for working. I have worked through a period of 7 days, some morning and some night shift. Basically i felt that i have in fact, learnt a lot about their process of working, moving and putting up goods, placement, arrangement and organisation. It was fun, i really enjoy a few moments there. ...but i am sure that when the dreaded time to idle comes, i'll be having second thoughts. It's funny how when i asked the more experienced people if there's anything to do, they only answered a simple "Don't know". When i did something wrong, i wasn't reprimanded and told the correct way of doing it, but they only let out a sigh, shook they head, then proceed to correct the mistake without taking time on telling how to do i...
Just some quick updates. I'll be attending the Physics motivational talk for the graduating students next Monday, 18th January. Looks like i called when the teacher was having lessons. Argh, that made me really embarrassed. I hope that i don't have to wear school uniform again...and if i have to, i hope they fit, HAH! --- I keep feeling less and less obliged to stay in my job position. It's a spasm-like feeling that keeps swaying back and forth, to stay or to leave. The STAY factor: 1) Boredom at home 2) You get some money to spend 3) You get to workout some sweat The LEAVE factor: 1) SO MUCH more freedom around my schedule 2) I spent a significant amount of time idling there 3) I have tolerate customers' attitude (God, i swear that some of them are nit-pickers) 4) I can use the time for self-upgrading (Remember what i said about learning other languages?) Yeah, so far, the LEAVE outweighs the STAY. I'm not making any quick decisions, as i think careful planning wou...
Back for more entries. Talk about work first. Alright, not new to those who i've already informed, but i've been working in a supermarket for the past 3 days already. To be honest, i don't feel like working on already. Because of my hand condition, the staff there told me not to get involved with products like detergent and washing agents (I'm working as a sales assistant, basically moving and arranging products). So i feel that i'm more a liability than a help, i have some doubts why they try so hard to keep part-time workers? Also, i had a lot of "What the hell am i doing here?" moments. --- School gave a call while i was away, but i already had the idea of what they want with me. Apparently they are giving Year 3 students a talk for physics, and they asked people from the previous batch, the batch i belonged, to return and give some tips to ours juniors. So far, the joke is, that they asked me to call them, and yet there's no one picking the phone o...
Alright, this is another new series of entry. Game Review #1: Shin Megami Tensei Persona (PSP version) I have just finished the game today in the afternoon, so let's give it a rating. Story: 9/10 Persona starts off students playing a spiritual game called "Persona", and after that they fainted and awoke to a new nightmare: Demons are loose on their town, Mikage-Cho. They then worked their way through returning the town to its normal state. The story plat is thick with a satisfying number of plot twists. The ending is quite epic, although the fact remains that i only went through the easier ending of the 2, because the second was simply too time-consuming. The only bad thing, at least to me, is that it is impossible to see 100% in a single playthrough. To get it, you must at least play through it 4 times. Maybe it's their way of sustaining replayability, but makes it way too time-consuming in it. Gameplay: 9/10 How the game works, is actually a turn-by-turn strategical...
Hello everyone. To be honest, i did not intend to make another post this shortly after my previous post, but it's January 4th. Happy Birthday to my friend and card-mate, Wei Jun. Starting off today, i'll begin a series called "Let's Talk about:...", which i will talk about the topic related with myself, my past and my thoughts about it. Since today is my first try, let's make it simple. Let's talk about: Cards and card-mates Well, being intelligent means i can afford to spend more of my time on other things other than study (I'm not bragging, if you know me you'll know that this is true). I do a lot of stuff in my free time. Gaming, reading and also cards, our main topic for today. Cards are somewhat a part of my dark history. Why? I'm not afraid to say this, but i've stolen money from my parents just to get what i want. Yeah, it's a little overkill, but i was still young, and thinking really retarded thought like "Cards are my lif...
Well, it's New Year day. Happy New Year, everyone. As said yesterday, here's the first post of the year. Serious business here...my resolutions for the new year. ... Now that my exams are over, i don't really have to be resolved about anything. Mmm...but i still will say something over here. I think it's alright to say that my life just began. After the main phase of education, now is the time which i really can spend each and every minute with no restrict to whatever i want to do (Of course, illegal things aside). Hence, a good 'resolve' to have, is that i want to spend my moments of life meaningfully. Of course, that doesn't mean that i'll just work and work and work. I can learn in this period too. I think it wasn't a secret to my friends that i'm actually quite interested in learning languages: Spanish, Japanese and Latin. Or, i can use the time and get a driving license. Not that i'm getting a car, but i just like to be as knowledgeable ...
