Alright, so i'm aware of my final aggregate for my preliminary exams.

Physics - B
Maths - A
Accounting - A
GP - S

I could have easily become the top of the school, if my GP results are not as bad as that. It's in another word, crap.

I'd agree that i'm not prepared for the essay and written out of point, causing me to get the score of 19 out of 50 (I'll note that i have not gotten this score for half a year now). However, despite my confidence in Paper 2, my score is still as low as 20 out of 50. This is ridiculous and almost hard for me to take, especially when i felt extraordinary confident about it.

It is quite clear to me that what is the current problem i have. Unlike 6 months ago, i don't have much trouble with my 3 Higher 2 subject. It really is my GP that i should be worried about. One more fact to kill my mood, that is, if i fail my GP, i am considered to fail my A levels. It is THAT bad.

That said i still can't focus all of my time on one single subject. More often that measure proved to hurt more than it heals. So, careful time management is required and essential.

The countdown from the start of my paper is 30 days. It's not exactly long, but enough for me to make a difference. I can do it if i try hard enough. I must say that unlike a lot of other people, i'm actually rather close to my target already. My original target was A, B, B for my H2 and C for my H1 GP. I suppose my target for GP can remain, but the results show that i shouldn't get anything lower than A for my other subject.

I'm marking up my targets to triple A's.

It will no doubt require a lot of effort to be invested in, as well as things to be sacrificed. Cards, games and stuff...but it will last only for another 2 months. 2 more months and i'm out of this misery of studying and studying and studying. Therefore, from today onwards after this post, i'm going to devote my entire time studying and revising for it. Yes, entire 'no-life' of a lifestyle, but i deem it necessary, hence i'll not post here again until the end of my A levels (Yeah, this time for real). So i'll make a major update today about everything that happened so far since my last post.

Last week wasn't anything remarkable either. We just did a lot of practice on maths questions as well as more data analysis questions for physics. I'm glad to say that my math have significantly improved. I have no idea how it happened, or why. But i'll credit much thanks to Lincoln, who always helped me solved maths questions i don't know how to start. I'm not sure if i've mentioned this, but it's thanks to him that i started to see problems in an unconventional way, and tried alternate methods in solving questions. However, i need more practice in the data analysis questions.

Mr P, my maths teacher, told me and Wei Xiang that we are the unknowns in getting an A for our maths paper in the A levels. Mmm, i'm not sure if that sounded right, let me re-phrase it. We are still in the gray zone, that it is uncertain we can get an A for our A levels maths paper. Better?

So, we have consultation period with him for the following 4 weeks until the week before the exams start. I actually look forward to it. It's great that he is willing to devote some time to students, perhaps even students who don't care, unlike some other teachers of which i won't even mention. I'll definitely work hard and prove my capabilities.

Well, GP tutor Ms O kept emphasizing for us to book a consultation lesson with her. Maybe i need it. But i firmly believed that i can improve by myself on this aspect. Yet, i don't want to risk my results for it, that is why i'll do some practice and have her comment on it. This way i can know if i need a consultation with her or not. Maybe i'm stubborn or even, as some say, over-confident in my abilities. But i really wish to try it myself, to know if it works. Just be assured, i won't be so stubborn that i'll deny my own foolishness.

Accounting is fine. I finally got past my phobia of Partnership accounts! I think i can manage Paper 1 better if i can do Partnerships. They are always worth chunks of marks that i always waste in scoring. If i can do it, i can secure an A for Accounting. Still need some work on ethics though.

On other issues, non-academic that is, our graduation tea is at Chevrons. This will be the second time i'm having graduation tea in that venue (Previously being my secondary 4 graduation dinner). Originally i planned to skip the tea session for more time in studying (Yes, i plan to be a complete nerd for the next 2 months). HOWEVER, i seemed to be awarded the Service Recognition Award, for the Photography duties i did these past 3 years, so my attendance is made compulsory. Best of all, i heard that it's based on the nominations by the teacher-in-charge. Thanks a lot Mrs K -_-. But, to be serious, i'm really thankful and honoured at the same time that you nominated me. Thank you very much. I will always miss the times i spent in the club with everyone.

Alright, i will end it here. But before that, if you're a person who likes to spent time watching people playing games on Youtube, check out the videos made by a user called pieceofpiesoftware. His game walkthroughs are really fun and good, especially if it's a horror game. So do check it out if you like those genre of videos.

Ok, i'll see you after 2 months, to tell you how well i've done in the exams. Take care.

P.S. Happy advanced birthday to her, on the 15th of October (Yeah, MY, looks like i didn't give up). As well as to myself, on the 25th of October (No one should say anything to me that day, or else...).

It is make or break.
This is not the last lap,
but the last sprint.
So with all my might,
i shall run with my best.
For the sweet victory at the end of the line."

Day 2...but i will be writing about yesterday instead. I set off early in the morning at 8am towards Tokyo station from my hotel. It was a good 20 minutes walk and with decent, cooling weather as well. I found out that opposite my building is a Konami building (although, later in the day when i return i would find that the building houses their Esports studio and school. I managed to get a Welcome Suica card at the Information Cafe of Tokyo station after a good 10 minutes of looking at the directory. The process of getting the card was simple as the staff was able to communicate in English. After i have gotten the pass, i started to look for Shinkansen ticketing machines. Because i was leaving in a short while, all of the reserved seats are already occupied and there was not much of a choice here. The plus of a non-reserved Shinkansen ticket is that you are free to board the non-reserved cabins anytime, as the ticket lasts for 4 days. I arrived at the platform to mad crowding. The...
Holy RA it's already near the end of April of 2025. Since the last post i've made a second booking to Japan, been there and returned. The visit this time was less of a rush but at the same time, i spent more time relaxing (idling) in the hotel. Originally i've planned annual visits in October of each year but i kind of felt like going again. So i made a booking towards the end of January. Unfortunately, the timing is not really good this time as the weather was pretty dark and gloomy throughout the trip. The Sun only showed up at the last 2 days of the trip. --- This time, i've visited Shizuoka again for its sushi. Same store. Same taste. I've also went to Enoshima and had "Enoshima Don", a seafood egg rice. I've mistaken "Yurantei" for the "Uomitei" that i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, the food is good. I'll visit someday again. Also, fulfilled my dream of taking the Sunrise Express, visiting Izumo and the famed Izumo Taisha (...
...with how tired i was in Japan daily, it was easy to leave out writing. For example, i'm already back in Singapore. Following the previous post, i made my way to Ueno Park, Senso-ji in Asakusa, Shikansen down to Shizuoka and visited Sunpu Castle, took a river cruise around Sumidagawa with Tokyo Cruise and ended a full day trip spending money in Akihabara buying old consoles. I'll think about whether i want to go into the details. The last actual day, Friday 18 Oct, was kind of a waste as i was "kicked out" of the hotel early and spent the day in the Airport instead. The storage was full so i couldn't leave my luggage in the airport and go somewhere else. I also can only check it in only 3 hours before the actual flight. It's a good trip overall, even with all the downtime. I am already looking forward to returning next year. I am also going to go for a Business class seat again next year.
