Yup, another post to mark the night. Hello to everyone.

Oh Hari Raya was just over. Selamat Hari Raya to all, and to those people who's done with their fasting.

Don't be surprised if i talk too much about my studies. I mean, it is pretty much a major part of my life now. Living in Singapore, if you're screwed in the studies, you're pretty much screwed in life. With that said, it is not a definite outcome. Some people will always find jobs they like and stick with it. They've got an interest. They've got a possible talent. Suits them if they find something they like. But for a person who spent no time in thinking about his future...i pretty much can't lose a major battle like now.

Though, i still play my PSP and DS every now and then. It is impossible for me to just drop all of my gaming habits and go into hyper-studying mode 100% all the time. My brain can't take it. My body can't take it. My eyes can't take it. So that's when i just played for a while before doing my revision again.

Yes, so get this straight. I want this point to be a home-run and not a beat-around-the-bush-that-is-not-worth-beating, i do relax! I'm human! I'm not a robot!

I really hate this year. Really.

Perhaps it is because of me getting so many handheld consoles at a time, but recently the games are all released in the exam period of October and November, which is a real distraction. I'm pretty sure i've said this before but this is to make the point clearer, that i give more damn to games than anything else (Pretty much, one thing aside). Let's see...

Scribblenauts came out a week ago. It's a kind of game where you solve puzzles (In terms of scenarios) using any word you can think of. Got a kite stuck on a tree? Summon an axe and chop the tree off and retrieve your kite. House on fire? Summon a rain and let it do its work. There are infinitely many ways of solving a scenario, it's all based on your creativity. On a side note, you can summon mythical objects like devils and dragons and watch them fight it out. Even God.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona released tomorrow. Quite frankly, i didn't pay much attention to any SMT games until i played Persona 3, which has this really nice system that got me as their fan. The Persona series often dealt with a person's personality, as their weapon to fight monsters when it manifests as a creature: Their Persona. Then they use their Persona to save the world from a great evil. Besides the game system, their music tracks are also well-done. Tracks like "A poem for everyone's souls" are pretty much a universal thing throughout the Persona Universe.

There are more, but i figure i won't spend too much time on listing them out.

Food for thought, everyone.

We are given a lot of power in our lives.

The power to think.
The power to act.
The power to decide.

What does it mean when the power of 2 person collides? Say, when they decide to go against each other?

Is the so-called 'right' person correct? Or is it left in the hands of reason to decide?

But even if it's in the hands of reason, who dictates that 'reason'?

Day 2...but i will be writing about yesterday instead. I set off early in the morning at 8am towards Tokyo station from my hotel. It was a good 20 minutes walk and with decent, cooling weather as well. I found out that opposite my building is a Konami building (although, later in the day when i return i would find that the building houses their Esports studio and school. I managed to get a Welcome Suica card at the Information Cafe of Tokyo station after a good 10 minutes of looking at the directory. The process of getting the card was simple as the staff was able to communicate in English. After i have gotten the pass, i started to look for Shinkansen ticketing machines. Because i was leaving in a short while, all of the reserved seats are already occupied and there was not much of a choice here. The plus of a non-reserved Shinkansen ticket is that you are free to board the non-reserved cabins anytime, as the ticket lasts for 4 days. I arrived at the platform to mad crowding. The...
Holy RA it's already near the end of April of 2025. Since the last post i've made a second booking to Japan, been there and returned. The visit this time was less of a rush but at the same time, i spent more time relaxing (idling) in the hotel. Originally i've planned annual visits in October of each year but i kind of felt like going again. So i made a booking towards the end of January. Unfortunately, the timing is not really good this time as the weather was pretty dark and gloomy throughout the trip. The Sun only showed up at the last 2 days of the trip. --- This time, i've visited Shizuoka again for its sushi. Same store. Same taste. I've also went to Enoshima and had "Enoshima Don", a seafood egg rice. I've mistaken "Yurantei" for the "Uomitei" that i wanted to visit. Nonetheless, the food is good. I'll visit someday again. Also, fulfilled my dream of taking the Sunrise Express, visiting Izumo and the famed Izumo Taisha (...
...with how tired i was in Japan daily, it was easy to leave out writing. For example, i'm already back in Singapore. Following the previous post, i made my way to Ueno Park, Senso-ji in Asakusa, Shikansen down to Shizuoka and visited Sunpu Castle, took a river cruise around Sumidagawa with Tokyo Cruise and ended a full day trip spending money in Akihabara buying old consoles. I'll think about whether i want to go into the details. The last actual day, Friday 18 Oct, was kind of a waste as i was "kicked out" of the hotel early and spent the day in the Airport instead. The storage was full so i couldn't leave my luggage in the airport and go somewhere else. I also can only check it in only 3 hours before the actual flight. It's a good trip overall, even with all the downtime. I am already looking forward to returning next year. I am also going to go for a Business class seat again next year.
